THE POT OF GOLD
Folk Stories originated in the good old days when people travelled long distances on foot. They rested on the wayside and told one another tales as a pastime. Such tales were often incidents recalled from their own experience with imagination finding free play By word of mouth these tales have been passed from one generation to another, and have come to stay with us now, in writing.
'THE POT OF GOLD' and 'MATTI' are two such tales told perhaps hundreds of years ago by some wayfarer to amuse his friends as they rested their tired legs under the shade of a tree.
