VEDA VYASA
RETOLD FROM THE MAHABHARATA
Of all the Rishis and Munis of India, to Veda Vyasa goes the credit of first thinking of compiling the Vedas in a systematic form. To him is attri- buted the authorship of the Puranas, rich in mythical lore as well as several other Granthas which form an integral part of the scriptural texts of India. Adarsh Chitra Katha present the unique circumstances of his birth as well as some interesting episodes from his life, the most delightful of which is the manner in which Vyasa made Lord Ganapati his stenographer!
