Chandraprabha
Chandraprabha is a story from the Vetala Panchavimshati-tales told by a clever spirit to King Vikramaditya of Ujjaini. A wandering scholar falls in love with a princess; two young young men, learned in the occult sciences, use their knowledge of the magic arts to help him. Thereby follows a tale full of tangles and knots which the vetala spins out and we retell-to the delight and puzzlement of the reader. CHATURANG KATHA has published other stories from the Vetala Panchavimshati in its earlier issues-Padmavati, Virvar, The Strange Sacrifice and Lavanyavati.
